How we do it
Drivers can create a free account to search jobs, join the Driver Database, and unlock free CV support, and career resources. Employers can list jobs or get recruitment support to save time and stress.
Why we do it
We’ve seen the pain points from both sides; drivers getting no replies, and employers struggling to hire. Our goal is to make recruitment easier, faster and better for all truck drivers in New Zealand and the employers who hire them.
Who are we?
NZ Truck Driving Jobs is a 100% Kiwi-owned and operated platform, co-founded by Pete and Cherie; a husband and wife team from Gisborne.
Pete Kerekere
Pete is a Class 5 truck driver who spent the majority of his trucking career carting logs along the mighty State Highway 35, before heading over to Western Australia for a FIFO gig. He's spent long stretches away from home, hauling iron ore up and down the Great Northern Highway, often away for 8 to 10 weeks at a time. Along the way, he shared parts of his journey on TikTok, helping other drivers who were wanting to do the same. Pete understands what it’s like to be behind the wheel and to lack the knowledge and patience for recruitment processes, but he pushed through to progress in his career and wants to help others do that too.
Cherie Kerekere
Cherie is the daughter of a truck driver, and now married to one too. She brings nearly 20 years of experience across administration, executive support, legal assistance, recruitment and operations. NZ Truck Driving Jobs started as an idea she often talked about with her husband, and in 2025 she brought it to life, building the platform from the ground up; including designing the website and creating the systems and processes it runs on today. She knows what it’s like to juggle everything behind the scenes and is focused on keeping transport recruitment organised and simple for all the candidates and clients she supports.
